Are you dealing with problems? Lost? Confused?
There is a way out…
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life
Jesus is the Way To Peace
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”––John 16:33
As a result of sin we were enemies of God. Jesus died on the cross so our sins could be forgiven and we could have peace with God.
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”––Romans 5:1
Jesus is the way to peace with God, peace with ourselves and pace with others.
Jesus is the Way
Out Of Religious Confusion
Many who wish to follow Jesus are repelled by the multitude of churches and conflicting doctrines taught by those who profess to be christians.
• Only Jesus has all authority (Mt 28:18).
• Only Jesus built His church (Mt 16:18).
• Only Jesus is the head of His church (Col 1:18; Eph 1:22; Acts 2:47).
• Only Jesus saves, not men or man made doctrines, traditions or churches (Matt. 15:3-9; 1 Cor. 1:10-13; Eph 4:3-6).
The only way out of religious confusion is to follow Jesus––who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Jesus is the Way
To A Better Life
Jesus stated His purpose in coming to earth:––John 10:10
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Jesus provides a better life by offering the solution to the problems that make life difficult––guilt, regret, hopelessness and fear.
He does not promise us a life of wealth or luxury, but He assures us of a loving Father in heaven who cares for His children and will provide all the things they truly need.
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”––Matthew 6:31-33
Jesus offers an abundant and secure life.
Jesus is the Way
to Eternal Life
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”––John 3:16
God offers eternal life through Jesus who died for our sins. It is through the blood of Christ shed at the cross that our sins can be forgiven. This is why Jesus is the way to eternal life.
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”––1 John 5:11-13
Jesus is the only way to eternal life.
Jesus is the Way to God
God is light and He cannot dwell in the presence of sin. But God is love and He made it possible for us to be forgiven of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross.
“God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”––1 John 1:5-7
Now we can have a close and personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”––Ephesians 1:7
Jesus is the only way to a right relationship with God.
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”–Romans 8:1
Every spiritual blessing is found ‘in Christ’ (Eph. 1:3).
But how can we be ‘in Christ’?
“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”––Galatians 3:26-27
Jesus is the Way to Heaven
“In My Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.”––John 14:2
Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. The only way we can be prepared for the judgement is to follow Jesus our Savior and King.
But some wonder, “How can Jesus be the only way? What about all the other ways people believe?”
When Jesus was in the garden before His arrest and crucifixion, He prayed if the cup of suffering could pass from Him. In other words, He asked if there could be another way. But there was no other way––only Jesus could be the perfect sacrifice for sin. Only Jesus could be the perfect lamb of God. Jesus went to the cross for the sins of the world and was raised from the dead so we could live forever with Him in heaven. No wonder they call it Amazing Grace!
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”–– John 14:1-6
With all of this in mind, why would we follow men who don’t know what life after death looks like, have never died, never entered the grave and never returned from the grave by the resurrection… Why would we follow men who don’t know rather than Christ who does? He died for you, rose from the dead and is now at the right hand of God making intercession for His people! You can trust Jesus who saves!
