About

Simply Christians

We are simply Christians, followers of Christ, a church that is ‘of Christ’.
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and we follow it as our only authority in religion,
(Acts 11:26; Rom. 16:16; 2 Tim. 3:16).

We exalt Jesus Christ and seek to glorify Him, not ourselves (Eph. 3:21). Therefore, our efforts are directed toward commitment to Christ, not commitment to any man or institutions of man, “that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:5). We have no human creeds to set forth doctrine because the Bible contains all the Christian is to believe and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Since we find no denominational names in the Bible, we wear no such names. We are a group of men and women of all ages striving to be simply christians, a church after the pattern found in the New Testament. We are people saved from sin who are interested in the salvation of others. We want Heaven to be our eternal home and yours as well.

A Simple Message

Our simple message is the same message preached by the earliest disciples: “Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” –1 Corinthians 2:2

The life of Jesus is a true expression of God’s nature, the death of Jesus was the supreme expression of God’s love, and the resurrection of Jesus is our promise of eternal life.
The life, teachings and example of Jesus Christ is revealed in the Bible and so we spend a lot of time learning and applying it to our lives to know Jesus better.

Our message is simple: Know Jesus and make Him known.

A Simple Goal

We are committed to glorifying God by helping others grow in their commitment to Him. To this end we study the Bible together, worship God together, and meet together to encourage and strengthen each other as the church did in the first century (see Ephesians 3:20-21).
Our vision for the congregation continues to be what God has always wanted it to be –– a loving and supportive spiritual family of faithful Christians (see Romans 12:3-13).

Simple Worship

We understand the challenges to doing what is right and serving God. Because we have experienced the devastation of sin we can be that much more grateful to God for giving us the hope of heaven. Our worship services are simple but reflect the tremendous thanks in our hearts to a loving, forgiving God.
In our singing we seek to emphasize praise from the heart (Ephesians 5:19). Each week we partake of the Lord’s Supper to remember the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the love surrounding that event (1 Cor. 11:23-26). Our prayers express to God our thanks and praise to Him for all He has done for us (Colossians 3:16).
Our preaching and teaching is based on the Bible, not the eloquence of men.
We give back each Lord’s day a portion of what God has given us (1 Cor. 16:1-2). If you visit with us, we do not ask that you give since this is a duty and privilege of the saints that meet here.

A Simple Plea

We want everyone to know the joy that comes from a life given to God.
It is our prayer that you would enjoy the blessing of fellowship with God. We offer group classes as well as individual classes that deal with any aspect of your relationship with God. “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” —2 Corinthians 5:14-15

We Invite You to Worship With Us.
When you visit our assembly you will be welcomed kindly and courteously. We believe this to be the natural attitude of those who truly love God. Though you may at first be among strangers, we hope you will come to know us as friends.

Simple Organization

Jesus is the ‘head’ of the church
(see Ephesians 1:20-23). His church has no earthly head or headquarters, each congregation is independent and self-governing under the oversight of the elders of each church, like the various congregations mentioned in the New Testament (Acts 14:21-23; Phil 1:1). God works through the local church to spread His word as we all use our strengths and abilities to follow His will as revealed in the Bible,
 (Eph. 2:10, 19-22; 4:11-16; Romans 12).

The church of Christ was planned by God before time began (Eph 3:8-11). It is the kingdom of God and Christ is King. We are humbled and honored to be in His kingdom. “to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” –Ephesians 3:21
