Throughout this study on KNOWING GOD we have studied almost 20 divine attributes of God. In this final lesson of the series we see an application for us.

Romans 8:28 tells us that God works all things for the good of those those who love Him and are called according to His purpose… “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

But What is His purpose? (8:29) “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son…”

We are to be conformed to the image of His Son! To Become Like Christ!

The One True God is the God of Truth

Why is there a never ending effort to discredit the Bible? Why is the Bible banned in communist countries? Why is a book so dangerous? Why is the Church a threat to godless governments? Why are Christians put in prison?
Because Truth is a threat. It can topple kings and overthrow nations. Truth causes panic among hypocrites, it keeps powerful people awake at night. Truth causes guilt, which results in mental and emotional breakdowns. Truth puts criminals in prison. Truth is power!

“The Truth it is like a lion, you don’t have to defend it.
Let it loose, it will defend itself.”

Since Truth is a divine attribute of God we can know that God’s word and His promises are true. We can know the truth and the truth can set us free. Let’s examine this powerful attribute of God––Truth.

‘He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.’

It has been said, when someone feels loved the world glows with light, and when someone feels unloved the world grows dark. Studies have proven this true. Harvard conducted a 75 yr study on what makes us happy, secure, fulfilled. The answer was not money, or status or career success or popularity… the answer was life long loving relationships. Which makes sense when you consider that God created us for the most important relationship of all––our relationship with Him!
The Apostle John gives us one of greatest and most sublime truths revealed – that God is Love. This single incredible truth unlocks several mysteries which we explore in this study (1 John 4:7-12).

What are your chances of making it to heaven?

One person said, “50-50 the older I get, the more I think my chances will improve.” Another said, “My chances are kinda slim, maybe 50-50. You have to be more than a nice person, but I’m still in the running!” An optimist said: “85%! I don’t think the entrance exam will be very tough.”

Many people think Judgement Day will involve something like a balance scale––with SINS on one side––and GOOD DEEDS on the other side. Then if good deeds outweigh the bad deeds then we “deserve” to go to heaven. The only problem is this Concept is FALSE––God’s plan doesn’t work this way…Because just one sin outweighs ALL the good deeds you’ve done! Just one sin incurs the full penalty of the law which is death (Romans 6:23). And Being a “Good Person” Cannot Atone for a single Sin! We’re going to look at an attribute of God that’s not fair––because grace is not fair. Grace is a gift. Let’s learn more about the grace of God in this study.

It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction, but truth is also more powerful, more wonderful and more beautiful! Which is why there is a stark difference between the truth of Christianity, and the faiths and religions of the world. Search the faiths and religions of the world and you cannot find two great truths: FIRST: there is no grace. SECOND: There is no way to Know God Personally. These two beautiful truths are only available in Christ.
Is it possible to know God personally? Not only is it possible, the world was changed forever because of a personal relationship with God, and your world will change forever by a personal relationship with God!
