The timing of this event is not a coincidence. Just after Jesus is baptized, and just before He launches His ministry that will change the world––Jesus is fasting in the wilderness for forty days and nights when He faces the enemy. Jesus overcame temptation and will help us overcome temptation as well, by choosing truth and rejecting lies.

A child with only 33 years to live is being hunted… armed soldiers are marching to Bethlehem with orders to kill… The child’s name, unknown to them, is Jesus––A child hunted as an enemy of the state…
The Murderous Man who wants Jesus dead, was given the title, ‘King of the Jews’ by the Roman Senate. He’s so obsessed with his power that he will kill for it––even family members, even children to keep it. Why is This Child a Threat? Why are Assassins Hunting down a Child? This is more than a children’s story, this is part of the invisible war.

Romans 8:28 tells us that God works all things for the good of those those who love Him and are called according to His purpose… “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
But What is His purpose? (8:29) “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son…”
We are to be conformed to the image of His Son! To Become Like Christ!
