The Bible has much to say about happiness, including the secret of where true happiness can be found! The word “Happy” is found in the Bible 28 times. A Pew Research survey of 11,000 Americans… even as Americans are attending churches less, a majority still believe in an unseen spiritual reality:
• 7 in 10 Adults consider themselves spiritual in some way.
• 50% say they are both religious and spiritual.
• 22% Spiritual but not religious. • 21% neither spiritual nor religious.
• 83% of all U.S. adults believe people have a soul or spirit in addition to their physical body.
• 81% say there is something spiritual beyond the natural world, even if we cannot see it.
• 74% say there are some things science cannot possibly explain.
• 73% of Americans Believe Heaven exists
• Only 1 in 6 do not believe in any afterlife at all. (pewresearch.org 12.7.23)
When Robert Frost was asked to reflect on what he’d learned in life, he said, “everything I have learned about life can be stated in three words: It Goes On.”
Thankfully we don’t have to rely on polls or poets to know the truth – God’s word is truth! Heaven is real.
