Seven Wonders from the Cross

No other event was surrounded by so many miracles as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The magnitude of this event was marked by seven miracles that culminated in the greatest miracle of all: the resurrection of Christ.

crossAs recorded in the gospel accounts we see the eyewitness account of: 1. Three Hours of Darkness, 2. The Veil of the Temple Torn, 3. The Earthquake, 4. The Graves Opened, 5. The Resurrection of some of the Saints 6. The Undisturbed Grave Clothes, 7. The Resurrection of Christ.

It was in the shadow of the cross that an eyewitness, a Roman centurion  who stood guarding His crucifixion said: ‘Truly this was the Son of God.’

First John: ‘That You May Know’

This phrase ‘that you may know’ is found several times in the first letter of John. Some in John’s day claimed secret knowledge to separate themselves from others in the church. They seemed to be claiming ‘only we know…’ to draw others to themselves, but John writes, ‘that you may know’

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13

First John: Joy of Fellowship with God

What makes a happy and fulfilling life? What brings true joy and lasting happiness? This is a question we have all asked ourselves at some point in our life. Harvard has been conducting a study to find this answer for the last 75 years.

But God gave us the answer to this question long before this modern age of anxiety. Listen as we find that John reveals the answer…

A New Life in Christ: The Apostle John

Those who are in Christ have been given a new life in Christ…

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” –2 Corinthians 5:17

In this lesson we see a new life emerging in one of Jesus’ disciples. As we examine the New Testament we see the Calling of John, the Character of John, and the Change that takes place in the life of John who went from selfish ambition to selfless love.
