The Origin of Jesus Name is in Hebrew, which is: Yeshua, a shortened version of the name ‘Joshua’ who was a great hero of faith. Joshua’s name in Hebrew meant: “Jehovah is Salvation.” Jesus’ Hebrew name is a compound word which means “Yahweh Saves”, which is no surprise because this was the mission Jesus came to accomplish.
