Forgive One Another

As Christ Has Forgiven You

The subject of forgiveness is both uncomfortable as well as powerful. Forgiveness has the power to change a person’s life for eternity. There are over 75 word pictures in Scripture of forgiveness.
–To Forgive is to turn the key, open the cell door and let the prisoner go free.
–To Forgive is to loose the anchor and set the ship free to sail.
–To Forgive is to give a full pardon to a condemned and sentenced criminal.
–To Forgive is to loosen a stranglehold on an opponent.
–To Forgive is to pound the gavel in a court room and declare ‘Not Guilty’.
In this lesson we examine the what, why and how of forgiving one another.

Pray for One Another

Even when we feel powerless to help–we can pray

In a Gallup Poll released this week––only 1 group in the U.S. avoided 2020 Mental Health Decline. The poll shows only “churchgoers,” Americans who regularly attend religious services, were the only group who avoided mental health decline in 2020 (Gallup 12/7/20). One reason may be the fact that Christians have access to something special the world doesn’t have. Something that offers peace that surpasses understanding, guarding our heart and minds through Jesus Christ. Peace through the Power of Prayer (Philippians 4:6–7).

In this lesson we look at 1. The Command, 2. The Need and 3. The Access Provided for Intercessory Prayer.

To Help One Another Get to Heaven

“I went in through the treasury of wisdom and I drew for myself the waters of understanding.”

– Queen of Sheba, inscription 10th century B.C.

Understanding is one of the seven pillars of wisdom found in Proverbs 9:1; 8:12-14. We are called to grow in spiritual understanding, which affects every area of life, including our relationships with one another. Let’s examine the need for understanding to help one another get to heaven (1 Peter 3:7-9).
